So as posted before, my first Grahams turned out great after four months; only alteration was a little sugar to boost ABV. I tried the second batch with some apple juice concentrate to do the same and pitched on the cake of the first.

It has been six months and the second is still tasting off - it looked fine but has a medicinal/chemical taste to it. It seems to be better this weekend compared to two weekends ago…it is still cloudy. The first batch was very clear after four months.

I am assuming that it is just going to take time and there is nothing wrong with it. My question is do you think the concentrate made the difference or reusing the yeast? Pitching on the cake gave me a volcanic reaction within hours…but now, six months later and iam waiting on getting cider back into the pipeline…

Any thoughts what would cause this? Both ended with the same 1.055ish ABV.

Thanks!
