I know the conventional wisdom is that the League is going to push this out as far as they can, keep appealing, doing everything they can to try and keep as much power over the NFLPA as they can...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-in-disciplinary-process/?tid=pm_sports_pop_b

But when I'm reading stuff like this; Arthur Blank, who's one of the more highly-regarded owners, when I'm reading this about some of the owners pushing for a change in the disciplinary process... essentially, they're volunteering to give back some of the powers that the NFLPA conceded in the last CBA. I'm reading this and thinking... boy, I think there are some owners who want this whole thing to just go away. Kraft pays his money and the Pats lose their draft picks (for nothing), but the League drops the appeal. They need this to *not* be in the news any more. Or maybe they'll hire a half-ass competent lawyer who'll tell them; they ain't gonna win!

All they're doing is just weakening themselves. It's like trying to drown your enemy using a pool of your own blood.

It's funny how all the haters have disappeared from this thread. I bet they started a thread called "Everyone but NE ultimate football jealousy thread."

They should make Reggie Wayne give the $450k back for being a *****.

"From source close to Wayne "asked for release, work environment to tough....not fun"

Too tough! NOT FUN!

Was losing 45-7 last year fun, Reggie?

It's a shame, though, that he wasn't motivated enough to play for a Championship team.
Could have been interesting having him and Gronk out there together...

Cheers!

Um, belichick had nothing but positive things to say about a guy they took a chance on and thought that practice was too tough. Who was bad mouthing Reggie Wayne? Everything I have read was nothing but praise for the guy.

I think you mean the Patriot's Fan's way...

Belichick praised him as the future HOFer he is. We'll see what comes out of it though. I'd be surprised if another team picks him up after his leaving the Pats so quickly. Only place I have seen anything talk about his saying the practice was "too tough" or "not fun" is through ex Pat Zolak. That could very easily be a paraphrase, or an opinion.

I was really hoping he would be the underrated fantasy pick that I got for a steal.. no I'm down a WR spot damnit.

Ah, bird's comments in a football trash talk thread, the Patriot way. Darwin, the hate is strong with you. Come over to the light. Give up on that dumpster fire in north Jersey and buy a Brady jersey.

The Pats never say **** about anyone, that's why we need to make up the difference. ****, Brady just said that he's got "great respect" for Roger Goddell. I mean... c'mon!

Reggie Wayne just proved - in a couple of little asides that were forwarded on to Zolak - why the Indianapolis Colts don't win **** once the games get tough.

So turns out Kraft and the Judge Berman are old buddies, eh? Have a few drinks together at party? Who would have guessed that?!?! You have to hand it to the organization. To be this thoroughly dirty from the ball boy to the ownership is actually quite impressive

Oh hey... how about you go eat three of four big bags of dicks?

Jesus.... Have you freakin posted ANYTHING other than crying like a pssuy about the Pats?

Christ... grow a sack

Oh... and your Qb plows dudes

Crying about the Pats being so good is all he knows.

Serious/non-trolling question...

Gronk should be an even bigger part of the pats offense this year I would think, right? I'm picking 9th in my draft tonight and should have some options and Gronk seems like a good one.

Gronk and chandler are going to own it. Double cover both those dudes in the redzone, with what, linebackers? There will be no answer for two giant tight ends.

( well, I guess Aaron Rodgers can find an answer for two giant tight ends, but I digress)
