It's a long read but the amount of cheating is staggering: http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/13533995/split-nfl-new-england-patriots-apart

My favorite:
In fact, many former New England coaches and employees insist that the taping of signals wasn't even the most effective cheating method the Patriots deployed in that era. Several of them acknowledge that during pregame warm-ups, a low-level Patriots employee would sneak into the visiting locker room and steal the play sheet, listing the first 20 or so scripted calls for the opposing team's offense. (The practice became so notorious that some coaches put out fake play sheets for the Patriots to swipe.)

In 2005, for instance, they signed a defensive player from a team they were going to play in the upcoming season. Before that game, the player was led to a room where Adams was waiting. They closed the door, and Adams played a compilation tape that matched the signals to the plays from the player's former team, and asked how many were accurate. "He had about 50 percent of them right," the player says now.

so, so much cheating.

Oh ESPN writing an article to get people to their site. Not ESPN! All their "stories" are always 100% true.

I can't wait until football starts. Then we can talk about important things. Like how good the Eagles are.

So weird...SI is doing the same thing today too:

Coincidence or are the Pats the sleaziest organization in the league? I can't believe you root for these people. I'd rather be a fan of a dumpster fire team like the Jets rather than a team that just cheats over and over again.

I'm sure that every morsel that's being spoon-fed to these "reporters" is just as factually accurate as the "eleven footballs were two pounds underweight!!!!!" report.

No! You are telling me the media doesn't always report truthful facts?

"The Earth is going to stop rotating in 2016." Look guys, this was a quote from someone. I put quotation marks around it so it must be true.

Hahahahaha. I love anonymous source reporting. I'm fingering Davis' kid on this one!!!!:

One team owner acknowledges that for years there was a “jealous … hater” relationship among many owners with Kraft, the residue of Spygate. “It’s not surprising that there’s a makeup call,” one team owner says. Another longtime executive says a number of owners wanted Goodell to “go hard on this one.” …

“The world has never seen anyone as good as Roger Goodell as a political maneuverer. If he were in Congress, he’d be majority [leader],” one owner says.

you're still on that?

I hope this doesn't sound too harsh but I kind of hope all you Pats fans die of AIDS and it hurts real bad.

Two reports by two different news organizations today about the Pats dirty, dirty ways. Total coincidence right? Hernandez could have used you on his jury.

You don't think knowing the exact play your opponent is going to run roughly 50% of the time isn't a huge advantage? Most games are decided by a hand full of plays - even a small advantage can be enough to swing the score in your favor.

Darwin: big on tracksuits, small on reading comprehension

Why didn't they just name the two articles, "we caught up with a bunch of super butt-hurt pssuys from around the league and this is what they whined about...l

"They gave us warm Gatoraid!!!"

That's you Darwin. You're warm Gatoraid.

And here come the water works again. Oh the big mean patriots hurt my feelings. They are too good. Wahhh

Both SI and ESPN are running this all over their front page of their websites in advance on Thursday's kick off. Nothing about how about the defending world champs are opening the 2016 in prime time. Nope, its all about how your organization cheats. That's gotta suck big time. Are you getting tired about hearing about the constant cheating - video taping practices, stealing playbooks, deflating balls, etc. yet? We all are. Stop ****ing cheating.

On to more important things...

I've a free play bet for Thursday.

Patriots/Steelers: will the longest FG made be O/U 44.5 yards?

Oh so a media outlet that earns money by people clicking on their website put out an article that would make people read it when there really isn't any other news in sports right now. It all must be true. The media has you right where they want you.

Sick of hearing how the Pats are 4 time Super Bowl champs. No that doesn't sickening. Hearing you complain about it does.

Gostkowski certainly has the leg, but it's hard to see how he kicks a 45-yard field goal when every New England possession's going to end in a TD.
