Some in this thread are so f&cking sensitive. Maybe you should use some

so it doesn't hurt so much.

Is it creepy I've always been able to smell that stuff and it smells foul. :-/ Sidenote, I'm pretty sure it's used as hand lotion in Houston lately.

Oh no... What a horrible memory... Please. Don't show that.

That was the play that started Brady's career and him winning the SB bowl that year and then two more in the next three years.

Oh.

How painful.

You got me there.

Hey Tomme... when even a Jets fan (Darwin) chalks up your Pats trash talk as a joke.... it might be time to give it up.

Eh...Brady handled throwing to scrubs last year without too much complaint. Mankins isn't a devastating loss.

If a scrub receiver screws up it doesn't get Brady flattened.

You'll be shocked to know that your unsolicited advice is worth almost as much as a trade up for Chad Jackson.

Easy four wins just enough to keep you out of the top spot to grab a good an.

According to "a source"...

Remember WAY back in 2003 (I know this is going way back... Work with us here) when Belichick traded away Ty Law, and the Pats lost the first game of the season to the Bills, and "a source" immediately after the game commented about how the team hated their coach right then, and that their season was obviously in trouble?

Remember how that season wound up?

Actually, remember how the Pats' next 21 games after that source offered his opinion ended?

We could be in for an interesting season.

^^ Lawyer Malloy, but the point stands.

And Brady's been around long enough to know how things work in New England. ****, it's no more dramatic than Welker being allowed to leave. I'm sure he's pissed, but he'll get over that and put it behind him, just like he's done every other time.

Less of a point and more of a random story about an unrelated event. Welker's replacement screwing up doesn't land Brady on the IR.

Mankins isn't the same player he once was, and they like the young (cheap) players they have on the line - and this frees up money to pay guys like Revis next year. They'll spend the money, they always do.

It's the same thing the Pats do every year - they cut ties with a fan favorite, everyone runs around like a headless chicken, and it's a nonevent. Same thing happened with Richard Seymour. The only time this kind of move didn't really pay off in the end was when they let Ty Law walk; otherwise, getting rid of guys as soon as they start to decline and become overpaid, that's been smart.

I actually get the rationale behind a cap casualty (or cap relief via trade in this case) but I thought actual rational football talk wasn't what this thread was for.

This is going to open up a lot of opponent disrespect, but since I think that's bad Karma, I'm ok with that: The fins have a pretty mean pass rush, and with Earl Mitchell in addition to Randy Starks and Jared Odrick (moved inside) the pressures not just going to come from the edges (Vernon and Wake) in week 1. At the very least, I'd be concerned about my QB who's carrying 33M in dead cap money facing a top 5 (AFC) pass rush (that improved since last year) in week 1 with even a minor question mark taking the place of a 6 time probowler.

But like I said, I'm sure folks aren't worried about the Fins. It's not like they beat the Pats the last time they played or anything...oh wait.

Same thing the pasts do every year should not be the standard which the fans should adhere to considering the recent history and the qb inevitably

That's actually a good point. Their recent history has been pretty rough. Three straight AFC Championship games and a Super Bowl trip over the last three years. I mean... Jesus... when they hell is Kraft going to smarted up and fire Belichick?

Yeah... And then they really gave the Pats a scare in the playoffs...

Oh wait...
