NE Fans:

You seem to get butt hurt when people claim the team was running up the score. Regardless if that was the intent or not, coach decided to risk valuable assets on the field when the game was clearly in hand. That is not a smart thing to do. It was a bad coaching move, admit it and let's move on. There's no such thing as running up the score with running plays and dink/dunk passes so I understand where you come from on that. BUT get your guys off the field...

Hoppy, I'd concede your point IF the Pats hadn't already shown an alarming tendency to fade away in the 4th quarter - which really hurts when the defense decides not to show up. You may remember just such a game. These guys need to get (re?)conditioned to play a full 4 quarters with a couple of the matchups they've got coming up. If it means jumping all over a team like Indy, so be it. Not getting butthurt over people calling it running up the score - just puzzled that folks still think that's a thing in the NFL, really.

Definitely sucks that it led to Gronk's injury, but with any luck the time he spends healing from that one will just mean he heals up from any other dings and dents he's carrying so he comes back full strength just in time for the playoffs. And face it, nobody in the AFC East is making a run to unseat them this year.

This is galactically stupid... even for this thread.

In the immortal words of Herm Edwards.... "YOU PLAY.... TO WIN... THE GAME"

So WTF was Belichick supposed to do??? Take out Brady? "Damn right!"... take out Gronk "Yeah!"... take out Wilfork? Ridley? Mayo? Spikes? McCourty?? Lloyd? Jones? Hightower? Love? Maybe grab someone out of the stands for Gostkowski???

It's freakin' stupid.

you can't freakin' take everyone out. You take Brady... maybe... and that's it.

How come there is no FREAKING OUT over Wilfork being in for the last series of the game. Freakin' Gronk was blocking on a PAT. Wilfork is on the D-line where his chances of getting hurt are are a HELLUVA lot higher. How come no one has their pissy diaper on about that??

"Ewwwww you can't have them in in a blow out"

STFU and go play with your dolls you effin pansy.

They keep saying 4-6, maybe 8 weeks. Ain't going to be that long. Mike Vrabel busted him arm back in the day, he missed two weeks. Put eleven screws and a plate in his arm, he was back out there.

Gronk'll be the same. He's about as tough as it comes. He's been hurt all year, hasn't missed a game. Hasn't missed a game his whole career, despite always being banged up. I'll be shocked if he's not playing in the San Francisco game. Might not be as effective as usual, but I'll be shocked if he's still on the sidelines.

Exactly!
Those who are griping about "running up the score" are just upset that their team consistently gets beat by NE each year.
I'm sure we've all seen that a lot can happen in just a couple minutes or less of game play. The whole game can change quickly. You play to win! When you have the ball, you don't just piss your downs away and hand the ball to the other team and give them the opportunity to score. What if your defense chokes. You do everything you can to make sure you win that game and put points on the board till its over.

Still feeling burned by Frank Reich, eh?

Are you guys excited to watch two of the best teams in the league play Monday night? :ban:

Honestly, I hope the Panthers embarrass the Eagles. I hope the Eagles lose another 6 games in a row bringing the total to 12 straight losses and the team finishing at 3-13. It will all but cement the firing of Andy Reid.

The impressive thing about Gronk in that game was he was dragging defenders with him. Haven't seen him do that too much this year.

I hate when teams wind down the clock in order to win on a FG. Friggin march in the end zone and get the TD. If you're worried about throwing an interception you're afraid to win.

Actually speaking of taking Gronk out of the game. You need to protect the kicker..... as bad as that sounds.

"Uhhhh. Wrong Dude... You have to take them all out. All of your starters, so they can sit and have a tea-party on the sidelines and gossip about to has the best curtains or what a biotch that hag is that does Brady's hair. Ewww I wanna scratch her eyes out."

(How was that? Was that a good impression of someone we know on this thread? Not gonna lie, it felt like I was spot on.)

dooosh

Wow. Someone's got a guilty conscience. Who said I was talking about you?

By the way, did you see the link I just posted where even freakin REX RYAN says the criticism of Belichick over the Gronk injury is ridiculous?

I knew you weren't talking about me....you're still being a ******

btw... you guys will like this...

I'm in a Pro Football Survivor Pool. One of those where you pick a team each week and if that team wins then you get to keep playing, but you only get to pick each team once so as you go the pool of teams you get to choose from gets smaller and smaller. It started out with over 14,000 people and it's down to almost 300 and I'm one of them. Winner gets a trip for two to the Superbowl.

The problem is... I've already used up the Texans, Bengals, Bears, Broncos, Vikings, Falcons, Patriots, Packers, Chargers, Ravens and Cowboys. It's actually starting to look like the Colts are the best choice I can do. *pounds head on table*

And before you ask, YES I think the Seahawks are going to win in Miami, but I haven't picked a road team so far and that's worked out pretty well for me.

You bastard I got knocked out week one of that pool.

Gonna make Wilson look like an all pro with that D. : p

Yeh, they need to shore that $hit up quickly or every opponent will look really good. It certainly doesn't look good for them going forward if Cutler misses more time.

Bear down??

Apparently, it's looking less and less like he's gonna play Sunday, against the VIkes, which is a must-win for a few reasons. Says he's symptom free, but he's "got a few more hoops to jump through". Lame.

Or the Rams.

That game knocked a TON of people out. Saints and Pats both in the first few weeks.

I think pats was the bigger one. So Elise hot or not my wife hates her voice for some reason.
