Hate to say it, but Pats look like the best team in the NFL...again.

yeah, no real denying it now. pats are gonna clean house.

A couple of years ago, there was another team that was plowing everyone. Heck, they won every game, except the Superbowl....Oh Wait..

It's funny. Your ragging on a team that won every game but the superbowl. Every game of the year and all the playoff games but the superbowl....Funny..

Embrace the horror, we are back in the playoffs.

How's your team doing???? Ohhhhhh....

"but the superbowl"?

kind of an important fact. winning "the rest" means sh*t if you don't win the big one.

So, was THIS intentional? I can't tell if the guy on the JETS sideline stuck his foot out, but he sure didn't get it out of the way.

Actually, I'm raggin' on the FANS of the Pats. The players learned to keep their mouth shut. Except of course when they're blowing Bellychick.

I would say semi-intentional. He didn't do it on purpose but I bet he knew that were he was already standing he would probably trip him but didn't move. Opportunistic would probably be more appropriate.

It doesn't look like there was any contact though.

Oh, there was contact - if there wasn't, he wasn't falling, not like that. Looks KIND of like the JETS staffer kind of nudged his foot out a little, kind of like a moving screen in basketball. Not positive, though, need to see a better replay.

You can clearly see the guy bend down a little and stick his knee out. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets fined.

Yeah, I didn't watch that video you posted before I said that. I had just seen the replay on TV though. In what you posted you can see that he did kind of lunge his knee out a little, I didn't see that on TV.

It was a staffer, though, wasn't it? Pretty sure it wasn't a player. That's what was really odd.

EDIT: Just watched it again, it's pretty obvious now (video was choppier earlier). Completely intentional. Looks like a guy that's going to be out of work in a day or two.

Yeah, I would say it depends on what his job is as to if he gets fined or not. If he is just a nobody I highly doubt he will get fined. The team might though in that case.

It was the strength and conditioning coach. He's already released a statement about it and admitted he did it on purpose. He's so screwed. LOL

You know.... I was sitting back, relaxing, having a couple of Sweet Stouts off the nitro tap, watching the Pats absolutely skullphuk the Bears yesterday and I started thinking... Is the Pats being as awesome as they are a good thing or a bad thing for the NFL as a whole?

At first, I was thinking it might be a bad thing. I mean, two weeks in a row you had teams talking about how they were the best teams in the NFL (Rexy does it every week and Urlacher pulled the same stunt last week) only to see the Pats come in and treat them like JV teams for St. Mary's School for Blind One-Legged Girls.

C'mon... did you SEE those two games??? Jeeeeeeeeesus. At certain points it was almost uncomfortable to watch even for a Pats fan. I kept thinking, "Jesus, I just hope a bunch of these Jets or Bears players don't just quit football after this."

So... if you look at the shear humiliation the Pats deal out to other teams and their fans, your first reaction has to be, "having such a dominant team in the league has to be bad for the NFL". BUT... I think you would be wrong.

I look to history to see if there is any guidance on the topic and I think you can instantly point to similar situations that were ultimately good for their sports... Michael Jordan... Wayne Gretzky... Tiger Woods... Hey, I'm not saying those guys are as good in their sports as the Pats are at football but that's as close as you're going to get. The Pats are more like those three... all added together... and then multiplied by themselves and then raised to the power of 6.

BUT... look at how popular basketball became during the Jordan years.. Hockey during the Gretzky years... and golf during Tiger's peak... I think that's really what the Pats will ultimately do for the NFL.

SURE... YES... OF COURSE some die hard fans of other teams will just get so discouraged that they'll stop watching football all together (I can see Dataz going down this path)... but, in the grand scheme of things, I think the NFL will end up pulling in a lot more new fans because people will have a need to watch something so historical.

36-7? we shut out the cowboys worse than that. H*ll, we went 34-7 against the bills. And 31-3 against the vikings.

maybe start talking when you really take it to someone...

like the packers next week....

Dude... just stop.... you sound silly. That game wasn't REMOTELY as close as the score suggested. Read ANY national or even Chicago media coverage of that game and then come talk to me.

That game was an absolute dismantling of the Bears.

The Pats were facing one of the league's "best" defenses in a horrible snowstorm and still put up nearly 40 points. I was nervous about the conditions for exactly one series, and then you could tell that it didn't even matter to them.

So, how have the Pats done against the other "great" defenses this season? Like, Pittsburgh and the JETS and the Ravens and Miami and San Diego and the Vikings? Ain't a team that's slowed them down yet except NY in week 2 and the Browns. *This* is more impressive than 2007.
