If he's a fast healer they might let him come back in a month. The danger to coming back too early is the top of the lung and a whole crapload of nerves and arteries lie in immediate proximity to the collarbone and if it were to re-break and an end or shard moves too far in the wrong direction he could be totally effed for good...

I try not to...I usually only soak in hot springs because I'm an adult.

I bet you are the only person in the world who can swim all day at a pee park and get no water in your mouth. You must be amazing!

First, getting a little in your mouth and drinking it are two different things. As an adult who "soaks" in hot springs I would have thought you would have known the difference.

Second, it isn't that hard to not get water in your mouth. Keep it closed while you swim.
