I've been quiet all week because I haven't liked this matchup since a week ago. I am NOT using injuries as excuse but the Pats oline didn't match up well with the Jets and it just got worse with a couple guys going down (Solder and then Cannon)

Hey... Pats fault for not having depth.

But that is why this game is where it is. Jet's d-line having too much success.

For the Pats, they have one goal in mind.... shut down Ivory and they've done that in spades (so far). Firzpatrick just keeps pulling ****i out of his azz

"Hey Brandin LeFell, you just got hit on the hands with the football a half dozen times and you dropped all of them! What are you going to do now?"

"Do I get to go to Disney? Yahhhhh! Disney! Hey kids, daddy's taking you to.... What? No! Dammit! It wasn't my fault, he throws the ball hard. My hands are linking me...

Ok kids, Daddy's taking you to Arkansas. We're moving in with Grandma!"

One of these days, the "leave Gronk open" strategy is going to pay off for someone. Everyone tries it, and it hasn't worked so far, but some day it will!

I have no idea why teams keep doing this. Not that they could leave anyone else open either, but just letting Gronk run free has zero upsides.

In the meantime, someone decided to fire for the end zone on third and three at the 18, because a first down here wouldn't help at all. The Cowboys have a coaching problem.

Getting closer to " suicide watch Darwin". The Pats rested most of their starters in anticipation of the Thursday game. Good try though, Jets.

Just got to thinking about the onside kick. It went through Jamie Collins legs. Was Collins even alive when Bill Buckner had the grounder go through his?

Could eli can any luckier with his receivers? He is so bad but his receivers make him look so good

I had to attend a funeral and internment today down in NYC so I had the DVR set up and scrupulously avoided any form of communications and media that might blurt out a score. Mission accomplished.

So I just finished watching the Pats comfortably handle the Jets, in spite of LaFell's one man sabotage squad and a few other outbreaks of the dropsies. Jesus H Christmas, those get painful after 7 or 8 of them, never mind 11. I'm surprised Brady managed to mostly keep his cool and do that thing he does: win football games.

Not the Pat's best game - I don't think I've ever seen Brady have to prompt his receivers positioning at the line of scrimmage so many times in one game - but the second half adjustments brought the game pretty much under control.

Props to the Jets for playing above their pay grade, it made for an entertaining game. I expect they'll end up a wild card this season if they don't implode with injuries...

Cheers!
