Hoping for some feedback on an Oatmeal stout recipe I am working on as I am relatively new to all-grain and very new to actually making my own recipes. Thanks.

Batch size: 5.5 gallons

12 lbs Maris Otter
1 lbs 8 oz Flaked Oats (Toasted)
8 oz Chocolate
8 oz Roasted Barley
8 oz Caramel/Crystal (80L)
4 oz Black Patent
(Single infusion @156 45 min w/sparge )

1.5 oz EKG 60 min
1 oz Fuggle 20 min

Wyeast #1098: British Ale Yeast

Just bottled mine yesterday and it tasted fantastic.

7lbs MO
1.5lbs Roasted Barley
2LBS Flaked oats

I used the West Yorkshire yeast and 2oz EKG at 60

I did not toast the oats but wish I had. I mashed lower (147) because I felt the oats would give me the mouth feel I wanted. I think 152 would've been better in retrospect.

The roasted barley really comes through.
