Do I need to boil oak cubes before adding to secondary or can I just add bourbon and soak cubes for a couple days than add directly to secondary? Thanks and Cheers!

Depends how much oak you want - I would boil for a whileto mellow them out before adding.

Are they French or American oak? Makes a difference.

American Oak. 4 oz. worth for a 5 gallon batch.

Ya I would boil them for a while to red lease a bit if the tannin - nothing worse than an over Oaked beer
