Hello to all,
I primed and bottled a 5 gallon batch of cider that was in secondary for about 2 months today. I'm concerned because when I dumped in my sugar and water solution(about 185g cane sugar what I always use, and about 300ml water pre mixed) it caused A LOT of C02 to be produced which has never happened to me before. I'm worried that I may have had all the sugar eaten up when I dumped it in but I don't know if that's possible. It's just that it was a lot of foam. I guess I'll find out in the next week or two but I was hoping that someone with more knowledge of cider and carbonation could help put my mind at ease.
Thanks in advance!

I don't make cider, but I'll offer an opinion if you don't mind. I don't see any way the yeast ate all the sugar when you dumped it in - it doesn't work that fast. Probably, the agitation was enough to get it to release some CO2 already in the cider.
