Unbunch your panties. Calling native americans "indians" was a historical error from the jump.
Exploiting that for hundreds of years is just adding insult to error...

Cheers!

Eh. Redskins is one thing. Indians is another. They did the right thing by getting rid of chief wahoo a few years ago. But renaming the team? I guess I don’t care either way, but it seems overkill.

So...this is the worst tv coverage of any sporting event since "Heidi". Unfrickenbelievably aggravating commercial breaks outta nowhere. What the actual hell is going on?

I hope the sportswriters around the globe light the MLB Network on fire. Sheesh...

I’m pulling for the rays to manage the comeback. I’ve always really enjoyed their teams when they were playing well. Plus I’d love to see Cruz go out as a champion. Oh, and I can’t stand the Red Sox. Arrrggghhhhh!

Most likely accurate. Sox have a hell of a line up, but I’m probably one of the few yankee haters that considers the yanks to be the lesser of two evils in that WC game last week. I’m a twins fan, I’ll never forget how terrible Ortiz was before we gave him away.

Id have never thoughtBoston would be as good as they are so quickly after dishing betts. Devers is ridiculously talented and feels somehow overlooked and under appreciated outside of Massachusetts.

Why give him second base? Keep the double play in action. And why pitch middle in? Miss low and away 4 pitches and let devers beat you (which he probably will) with it loaded and at least still have the double play there.

My wife says I’m definitely getting old for how much I bitch about baseball.

So much awesome happens here! It is so cool to see so many young kids on the team contributing to this journey and having fun!
Now I just hope the playing-wounded can heal up for the conference championship series...

[edit] Between a successful Boston Marathon today, the win tonight (and last night) and the ridiculous Patriots win on Sunday this has been a pretty decent week for us Massholes :D

Not to mention there's a lot to like about the B's and C's for the seasons starting soon, and the Revs with the best record in MLS.

Twas not the ending I had hoped for. Rays leaving Arozarena on 2nd, no outs, and not scoring was inexcusable. But then the Bosox did same, so that cancelled my shame (though, the sox dude was probably safe at 3rd).

^haunting visage^

On brighter fronts...'Sox will return home with a 1-1 split and the possibility of winning this series in Fenway.
Yeah, a stretch, no doubt, but still...
Setting a brand new record of the most grand slams in a post season game is a bonus.
That'll have the Red Sox name on it for a long time I bet :)

Cheers! (and GO 'SOX!)

Sox lose series to the Astros...check, just turned on ESPN2 and they are playing the part 4 of "once upon a time in queens". Couldn't stand to watch it. Still too painful lol.

Well it was pretty much out of nowhere and totally fun while it lasted, but let's face it, Sox didn't have the pitching to close the deal.
Wait'll next year! :D

I couldn't stand him when he played for the twins. You could see the potential. You could see the power, the bat speed, everything. But he just couldn't put it together in a twins jersey. I 100% speculate the twins coaches of that era were trying to get him to push the ball the other way instead of letting him be a natural pull hitter. The man deserves the hall, for certain. I just can't ever help but wonder what could have possibly been with a few of those twins teams in the mid 2000s with him in the middle of the line up.

I'm pretty excited to see Kaat and Oliva going in as well. Both are long deserving, and at a personal level, they were favorites of my dad. Kaat joins the twins commentary team a couple series every season and its an amazing listen.

I can dig it. Nobody is thrilled to see one of their players move on to become another team's huge hero.
But David Ortiz was even more than that here. He picked up an entire city...

Still makes the tiny neck hairs stand up...

Cheers!
