So as I embark on my 4th attempt on the production side of my beer addiction/hobby/sport, here's something all you NOOBS should know.....

Be proud of your beer!! Have confidence in it!! Share it and elicit feedback!!

I recently submitted my 1st and 2nd EVER homebrews into a local competition. There were 27 total entries. My 1st batch ever made it into the top 12. My 2nd batch scored a 39/50. I know I didn't win, but I got a lot of confidence from sharing my beer and reading the scoring sheets. Subjectively, after trying most of the 27 entries, I'd say both mine easily made the top 8, while some went straight into the spittoon. Everybody cannot possibly have a palate as refined as mine though.....;)

So cheers to all you NOOBS!!! Spread your good tidings....and your beer!!!:mug::mug::mug::mug::mug::mug::tank:

I'm submitting my first two brews to competition this week. I don't consider myself a noob anymore since I've read my literature and now producing successful batches with ease (e.g. not shvitzing about every batch). I am hoping that my entries will put me in high marks, but will also give me the unbiased opinion I need to get better at brewing.

Yay BREWING!
