I brewed up a 5 gallon batch of graff last night and it has been close to twenty four hours and there are no signs of fermentation. I know it may take more than this to start just figured with such high sugar content it should start up. I used Nottingham that sat in my fridge for about a week before i pitched it and thought maybe i killed it somehow. any thoughts?

I have had it take more than two days sometimes for it to start. I would wait and see what happens. If it doesnt start, then re-pitch with a new yeast pack. Typically when I have had a slow start I get a yeast starter going, so if it hasnt kicked off in two days, then pitch in the starter.

waiting seems to be the magical thing to do in brewing cuz now it is chugging along. cant wait to drink it. thanks
