No airlock action

Hey guys really new to homebrewing and just tried my first brew on Sunday. I used a beer kit(APA) and used dry yeast that i re-hydrated as directed. 9:30 tonight will be 72 since i pitched and i have not seen any action in the airlock. I did just pop the airlock off to peak in an it looks like there is a layer of foam. Does that mean it is fermenting fine? or should I consider repitching?

It is fermenting fine. If you're fermenting in a bucket, those are notorious for having leaky lids, so the CO2 is probably slipping out through the bad seal in the lid. This isn't really a problem as the bucket is under positive pressure on the inside, so nothing can slip in and contaminate your beer. RDWHAHB!

I started brewing again after 4 years of inactivity . I started a beer Saturday and it fermented only for about 15 hours and stopped . My problem was I didn't aerate my wort before I pitched my yeast . My solution . I did buy 2 new tubes of White Labs Irish Ale yeast but I didn't need it.I sanitized a big mixing spoon then whipped air into it for a few minutes then resealed my fermenter .This morning it was going like crazy.
