So I went to check out a criagslist ad for someone liquidating all of their AG equiptment. I had the intention of just buying 3 or 4 of plastic fermenters for $25.

I left having spend almost 3x that much


BUT
Ended up with:
3 fermenters
a 7.5 gallon keg for a fermentor or kettle (with some conversion)
a bottling bucket (never used one before)
2000 ML erlemeyer flask
Glycerin and yeast slanting tubes
6 cases of empty bottles
random boiling equipment (spoon, hops balls, bags)
3-4#s of hops
30-35#'s of marris otter
scale
hydrometer (havn't used one in a while)

And I'm sure other things. I also got to meet a great and helpful guy who offered his 10+ years of All grains brewing experience to me. He even offered me dibs on his 10 cornies when he finished drinking them.

Getting another carboy tomorrow for $10 and a turkey fryer for $35!

I am slowly but surely working up all the equipment I want.

Nice score! That is a ton of stuff for the money. You will be very pleased once you get it all set up. Then you can start upgrading!

Thanks, He was selling all his AG equiptment but I held off since I want to build/ put together my equiptment so I fully understand how to use it.

I might go back for 25#'s of wheat base malt and 25#'s or pilsner base malt, but I am not sure if I would ever use that much
