My name is Matthew, I have been a huge fan of craft beers for many years and thought I would try and enter the slippery slope of brewing my own.

A little about myself well I am a Firefighter full time just outside the Chicago area. I am a huge cigar enthusiest and craft beer fan. I enjoy smoking cigars and matching them with different beers. I gravitate myself to Belgium beers but am a big lover of the heavy stouts especially Oak aged Bourbon Stouts!

Just brewed a robust porter (First ever attempt) seems to be doing fine so far. My main brewing goal would be to make my own Bourbon Stout...

I hope to pick up a bunch of info from here
