I had the privilege to watch JeffD do an all mash brew. I plan on brew from extract for awhile. Here is my shopping list:

Chest freezer with adjustable thermostat
Carboy(s)
Airlock(s)
Soda keg(s)
Co2 tank
Tap(s)
Burner
SS pot
Extract brewing kit(s)
Wort chiller
Thermostat
Hop bags

Does that sound right? Am I missing something or is there anything that is redundant?

auto-siphon!!!! the must have item!!

the freezer is a luxury but if its really hot wher eyou are.. but remember winter in coming and its much easier to heat a room then it is to cool it.. you could deff get away with no freezer..

i've been brewing at 70-74 over summer and maybe the beers aren't coming out as good as they could.. they're still good tho

It is hot as hell here. I want to be able to brew for a while before adding.

Regulator for your CO2 tank. Get a double if you can.
Hydrometer. very important.
star san or a good sanitizer of choice.

My list of equipment I'd use on extract
Lab thermo
1/2" auto siphon much faster than 3/8"
Ss pot for extract batches
Counter flow chiller or get or build an immersion chiller
Stc-1000 temp controller (ferm chamber or get a cool brew fermenting bag I love mine and I use both)
Plastic carboys (primary)
Glass carboys (aging)
Hydrometer
Book on how to brew
Kegging setup
Starsan sanitizer
PBW
Bottles
Bottling bucket or bottling Carboy if don't keg
Mixing spoon (ss or plastic sold at brew shops)
Bottle tree helps for drying bottles
Pretty much it.
Or just go to all grain and have there. More stuff to go with it. I switched to ag.
I'm still new myself. That's what I used for extract and beer turned out good.
