New with questions

I moved my warehouse and found some of my brewing stuff I only used a few times, so I'm back in.
I brewed a batch last night and went to get my bottles ready, but they had been thrown out. What other containers are good to use to ferment the beer? Otherwise I'll be drinking like a sailer to get some empty bottles.
Is there any info on water chemistry for water being used for brewing. Things such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, ect levels that are best?

I'm a little confused by the bottles though. You want to use the actual bottles for fermenting? Or do you mean you have it fermenting now and are wondering what vessels you can use to put the finished product in the carbonate?

use PET bottles (empty soda bottles)
Is almost all I use (and cheap)

You won't need to bottle for about 3 weeks. I get bottles from local restaurants. Make sure you get the pry off and not the twist off ones. 22 oz bottles work great. Look on Craigslist also.

Ahh yes... makes much more sense lol. Then your options are plentiful. I'm a fan of biting the bullet and downing a few cases of beer just to get the bottles... but that's me. :rockin:

If it's crunch time there's alway costco kirkland water bottles. I imagine they would work for one batch.

The Kirkland water bottle caps won't hold pressure. I like to chug Martinellis when I'm in a pinch. The family loves it, it produces wonderful belches, it's delicious, and you can cap the bottles. It's a little awkward with my capper, as it's not a bench top, but it works.

Check local bars for empties. Or organize a BYOCB party. You provide some party food in exchange for people leaving you their empties.
