My friend and I had been brewing extract for a while now and we just upgraded to a 10 gallon all grain set. We're debating on whether or not to brew our first all grain batch using a kit or just following a recipe. Our local supply store doesn't always have the ingredients we want (especially hops). We love the pale and IPA style. Any suggestions?

midwest makes great kids, so does northern brewer - although they seem a little more expensive. if it's your first all grain I would get a kit and make it as simple as possible

I haven't brewed with a kit in years, but this one looks great

a kit is a preassembled recipe, there is no shame in using them. Sometimes I want to go back to extract to take my long brew days down to only a few hours.

best hops choices are bulk hops, get a few pounds of cascades and other cheap C hops for a few bucks, they will last you a long time. Welcome to the forum.

I appreciate the feedback.....

The link you sent is to an extract kit. Any All Grain Kit recommendations?

Unless you have a mill, try to order the kit right before you brew. Crushed gains have a short shelf life. Uncrushed are good for months when properly stored.
