Used is the way to go, if aesthetics aren't a huge deal. Even on eBay, a new, similar kegerator would be ~$400. Just check to see that the kegerator holds a decent temperature for serving beer. Also, they don't mention a regulator, but it looks like it's in one of the pics. This seems like a decent deal but haggling never hurt.

Edit: They don't mention what kind of keg. I'm assuming soda keg and if so, check to make sure the keg holds pressure and includes disconnects.

yeah, I emailed him already asking which type of keg he has in it.

Used all the way. Better yet, DIY by buying a kit and grabbing a used fridge....at least around here, used built dorm fridge kegerators like that run $400. $200 seems like a steal with the tower, 2 tanks, keg, and reg....check it out, if it looks half legit get it. Ignore the tubing if it's grungy...it's cheap and easily replaceable.

Hrm, on second thought, that looks like it might be a commercial kegerator. No big deal, you can EASILY convert it by just taking off the sanke coupler and putting on two $7 quick disconnects, but you'd have to buy a couple cornies if the keg he says comes with it is a Sanke. No worries, I'd still go for it if it looks legit.

gotcha, there are about half a dozen kegerators on sale in my town after yesterday :D, most of them were about $200 but this seemed the best with the 2 c02 tanks (those buggers are expensive!!!)

Hell, if he IS including a Sanke, it's really a better deal...you can make a keggle out of it, and Sanke kegs cost more than ball lock kegs usually!

2 tanks and a Kegerator for $200-you need to jump on that. I bought a ratty used Nostalgia Kegerator with no tank (I already have one)for $100 to fit two pin-locks and I am glad I did. Craigslist is the home brewer's best friend.

it's one that fits a 15.5 gallon keg (which I believe is the Sanke if I'm correct )... keg comes with it along with 2 co2 tanks... would I just need to switch out a few disconnects or something?

Yes and yes. Looks like a good deal. You could probably find someone to trade the Sanke for two cornies

Go used. They are on CL all the time. If one fails get another on CL. Keep a notification search continuously active so you know what the going prices are.

Yup, you're correct. Great deal regardless. To turn it into a homebrew kegerator, you just need a couple of ball-lock or pin-lock Quick Disconnects, (depending on if you choose to go with ball lock or pin lock kegs...both work, pin locks are cheaper and a bit easier to find at the moment, but ball locks are historically more popular). You'd just need ball lock QDs (here and here), or pin lock QDs (here and here), and then the correct barbs to fit the tubing in the fridge, (1/4" or 5/16", depending on tubing size).
