New member from Tampa

Hey everyone! Well, my Gf decided to get me a brew set for my bday, and I have my first batch of ipa fermenting as we speak. I have a million hobbies, including metal detecting, fossil hunting, astrophotography, microscopy, magic, painting, ect ect...the list goes on, the
Problem with all these hobbies, is they take so much energy and you can't do any of them while drinking beer. Well, I love brewing so far! I mean 1% work and then 99% doing nothing(but drinking) it's the perfect hobby! I've already asked a bunch of noob questions, and have worried about this first batch...like I'm sure u all did, what I've realized from reading the forums, is that revvvy is a god amongst brewers, and I'm listening to everything he says! Cheers, chin chin, kampai!!!!

1% work? Ha! Just wait. A few months and that number will go way up. But it's fun work. I guess it's like having a job u love to go to. Of course I don't know what that feels like, but u get the point. Cleaning, sanitizing, weighing stuff, mashing, boiling, cooling, racking, bottle or kegging, picking up supplies, ordering supplies, looking for and reading about supplies, reading websites, magazines, looking for and creating recipes, etc... There's a ton of work, but u can drink while doing most of it, which makes it all worth while! Welcome to and enjoy the new hobbie... Soon to be an obsession. Cheers!
