For sale is an all Stainless Steel 10 gallon Polar Wear Mega Pot, Brew Pot, Brew Kettle in excellent condition purchased 2 years ago from Northern Brewer. Pot includes a new, never used, SS ball valve with locking handle and a Blichmann Brewmometer. The pot is all heavy-duty, 18-8 stainless steel and has a two layer stainless steel bottom that sandwiches an aluminum core. This provides for even heat dissipation, an especially nice feature if you are brewing an IPA. By eliminating hot spots that can caramelize and darken the wort, especially if you are using liquid extract, your beer will finish as a clear pale ale. Perfect for all-grain brewers and extract brewers who want to boil full-wort volumes.
This pot measures 12" H x 15.75 Dia and has riveted handles. Less expensive pots have welded handles that can break. The ball valve is a new, never used, 304 stainless steel ball valve with a locking handle. I have added a new, never used, 90 degree stainless elbow, see photos, so the dead space is just under a 1/2 gallon. Also included is a 1/2" NPT barb to add tubing if needed and an extra high temp silicone "O" ring. Interior fittings can be removed if you prefer to use the pot as a mash tun and want to add a false bottom or a mash screen.
Sold originally for $275 with the ball valve and Blichmann Brewmometer. I have just installed a new, never used, 304 stainless steel ball valve and all other fittings through the brew pot to the dip tube are 304 stainless. Selling this 18/8 stainless steel brew pot in excellent condition in original box for $175 OBO. Prefer local pick up but will ship for actual shipping costs.
