Hello everyone

I have looked on this forum for a about a week did my homework. And just finished brewing my first brew ever..

All grain too. I started with a 30 quart turkey fryer. Added a valve picked my brass. Made a mash ton out of a 45 quart Coleman cooler.. added a valve again. plus a cpvc manifold with a top sprinkler system that is feed with gravity. I added a fitting on top hole though it sealed. Fitting on hose with camp did not leak worked great. Everything worked out great.

Like I said I did my home work. I did get the grains milled. I will buy my own soon. a good one. I like to do tings own.... Just I know turkey fryer but it works great for me.

I made a bavarian hefeweizen it was easy only one hop at the start

I used a dry yeast and did start it

I still have a bit of room in my 23 liter glass carboy but I think it's better to have some. I don't have anything to take readings yet. there are on the way... I sure can tell you it was sticky stuff.

Anyone can do this since I did with a cast on my arm and a broken bone in my right wrist...

great fun I love my new found hobby.. I love my beer so how can you lose

it was 9.5lbs of grains I know I have a bigger cooler then I need but it was 20 bucks head the heat I did it all right... can't wait to bottle and have some in a month

I used Nottingham dry yeast I had it rehydrated for a while maybe 2 hour before I need to use it and I saw it working. I just added cooled boiled water like it asked... I used Reverse Osmosis water for everything so I will see how it is.

I drink lots of that water I like it. That and beer

Am very happy.. I enjoyed it so much I might make more on Sunday??? I have one more set of grains it something I worked out with the guy i bought the grains from. 2 kinds 2 row 3.5lbs and ... I forget right now 6lbs thou and 2 hops sterling at 60 and hersbrucker at 10

I have a few different yeast I bought one liquid one too

I almost started with BIAB but changed my mind and went right for it. Am happy I did it was a lot of fun. It has been in my carboy for less then 12 hours I see it working. Bubbles in the airlock great to see it's all working.

I just wish that cpcv piping was as cheap as in the States there... Here it's not and is getting hard to find so I found out.. But it's all done worked great. If you have the space and the little extra cash I would go this way. All grain all the time

Just brewed my 2nd batch now I have 2 that will be ready in about 5 weeks

I used Liquid yeast this time. I did smack the pack and waited about 4 hours before pitch in

The nottingham that I used in the other worked faster.. well hope to see action tomorrow if not just wait till the next day

I only bought it since I got it half price so 5 bucks since I bought other things..

Not sure if I will use it again lets see how the beer turns out.
I'm planing on re using the yeast like I have seen for my next brews.

Yup both feet and one arm lol
