Hello everyone
I have looked on this forum for a about a week did my homework. And just finished brewing my first brew ever..
All grain too. I started with a 30 quart turkey fryer. Added a valve picked my brass. Made a mash ton out of a 45 quart Coleman cooler.. added a valve again. plus a cpvc manifold with a top sprinkler system that is feed with gravity. I added a fitting on top hole though it sealed. Fitting on hose with camp did not leak worked great. Everything worked out great.
Like I said I did my home work. I did get the grains milled. I will buy my own soon. a good one. I like to do tings own.... Just I know turkey fryer but it works great for me.
I made a bavarian hefeweizen it was easy only one hop at the start
I used a dry yeast and did start it
I still have a bit of room in my 23 liter glass carboy but I think it's better to have some. I don't have anything to take readings yet. there are on the way... I sure can tell you it was sticky stuff.
Anyone can do this since I did with a cast on my arm and a broken bone in my right wrist...
great fun I love my new found hobby.. I love my beer so how can you lose
it was 9.5lbs of grains I know I have a bigger cooler then I need but it was 20 bucks head the heat I did it all right... can't wait to bottle and have some in a month
