Hey, I'm a newb brewer in Central New Jersey and I'm looking for some other area brewers to share notes, swap brews, and all that. My 2nd ever batch is in the secondary but I'm already committed enough to spend way too much time and money on the hobby (says my wife).

I'm in the Telecomm biz by day in case you wondered. Looking forward to meeting other NJ brewers.

Bobby

I used to live in Hillsborough, NJ but it's been a few years since I've lived there.

I'm also from central Jersey, close to Great Adventure. Been brewing for about two years now and my brew buddy and I are building an all grain system and 3 stainless conical fermenters. So you could say we're already spending "way too much time and money."

Send me a note sometime. I'd be happy to swap some beers and stories.

Great Adventure!!!!! 100 times better than the Six Flags in Maryland. Still haven't been to GA to ride Kinda Kha.

Ahoy man!

I am from Jersey, though I live in Baltimore now. I visit my folks up there a lot (in Marlboro), so not too far from you most likely. (We are about 20 minutes north of Great Adventure which is, yes, Awesome).

In Central Jersey, I'd recommend checking out The Brewer's Apprentice in Freehold. They're a hybrid BOP (brew-on-premises) and homebrew place. I haven't been in, but I've seen them around and will certainly check them out the next time I'm in Jersey.

if you'd like to get together some time, let me know. I'm in and out of the state a lot.

I go to The Brewer's Apprentice quite frequently. It's where I get most of my ingredients. Takes me about 20 minutes to get there.

On Great Adventure: I could get to GA in under ten minutes from my house and I haven't been there in 9-10 years. I guess when you're so close it becomes less and less of an attraction.

I had a season pass for a couple summers when I was a kid, I was about 45 min away up in Hillsoborough.

My sister actually lives in Howell, so I get down that way pretty often. I think she's about 10 minutes down 195 from Jackson, close to the parkway.

Brewer's Apprentice sounds cool, I'll check it out.
