Greetings all,
Recently moved (back) to Burke VA and looking to dust off my homebrew stuff. Been brewing on and off for 16 years. Extract brewer but want to finally take the step to all-grain. Looking to build a RIMS or HERMS to help kick off my motivation to brew again. Need the project, as I'm a DIY'r but am renting the house in Burke, so I can't work on anything. I need something to help keep me from going crazy. Why not a brewery!!
Right now collecting plans and idea and tips. I'm thinking a HERMS, single tier, with propane burner under the HLT and Kettle. Would love to see more pics and plans that folks have built.
See you around the forums.

Damn going big! Good luck with getting started. I had to look up Burke, I'm from VA and lived in Richmond for a few years before I moved to Miami last year. Spent a lot of time in NOVA/Freddy/DC.

Welcome back to brewing!

Hey I live in Woodbridge an am building my own system now. I think you would be interested in it as I have developed a full set of schematics and access to all the right tools. I am also looking for fellow brewers in the area so give me a shout if your interested.

Ha, PM me with where in Burke you live. I'm in Burke off Lee Chapel Rd near the County Parkway...

Used to live in Kingstown for 8 years, and played all my soccer out in Rolling Ankle and South Run, followed by beerses at Glory Days on Old Keene Mill afterwards. Ahh, my lost youth!

Welcome back!! Greets from Richmond. Keep us updated with the build, and remember, if you don't include pics it ain't worth posting. :rockin:
