First time poster from Waconia MN. I am getting into home brewing due to a reaction to barley products that is limiting my selections of beer in stores. I will be spending a lot of time inn the gluten free area even though I will be trying to brew with some gluten containing ingredients. Any suggestions on a place to purchase a good starter kit is also appreciated.
Thanks in advance...

Welcome from New Brighton!

Locally the only place I can recommend is Brew and Grow in Spring Lake Park. It’s about a 45 minute drive for you I would guess. Midwest and Northern Brewer really had a grip on our market, so since they sold to AbInbev it really has been tough.

If you want to mail order, Farmhouse Brewing is good. Also Morebeer, but they are on the coasts.

Welcome to the hobby! It’s a blast. This is a great place to learn too, so welcome to HombrewTalk as well!
