Hey All! I'm new to home beer making, but not new to fermenting sugar and yeast. I've made plenty of bucket wines and crossbar hooch in the past. I'm now seeing technology has made home brewing quite the art. I'm almost ashamed to admit some of my plaster bucket science experiments to the public. I've recently purchased a basic starter equipment kit and several one gallon extract recipes before I dive into multiple gallons. I currently have three 1 gallon jugs I just took off the blow-off tubes and swapped for airlocks. One will be ready to bottle next weekend. I just ordered some large glass carboys and I see this is a very addictive hobby. Already looking at some SS conical fermenters and kegging equipment. I'm hoping to make some decent lower ABV beers. I'm fine with 3-4% ABV. I love the taste of beer, but do not need the buzz. I'd like to be able to drink a few and still function. Looking forward to tasting my first homemade beer.
