I'm excited with the orders I placed today and just wanted to share.

I ordered a 10 gallon SS brew pot from Spike brewing with the two couplers, and got the SS ball valve and thermometer for the pot.

Also got the 39' copper immersion wort chiller from Rebel Brewer.

Lastly ordered the Johnson digital thermostat controller for the fridge I will use as a fermentation chamber.

Once I get everything I'm going to do 4-5 partial mash recipes to get the hang of it. I want to build an igloo mash tun after that and move to all grain. I'm super excited. Volunteering at Deep Ellum Brewing Co again this weekend to help with their tours, if you are in Dallas come check them out.

How hard did they hit you on the brew Kettle? I have been looking for a good quality stainless set of pots, but the prices are fearsome for purpose built pots. I can drill and mill what ever needs to be done so I would like to avoid the expense of them drilling and assembling it if possible. Thanks in advance for your reply.

I got a pre drilled and welded 10 gallon from spike brewing for $120, then the thermometer was $25 and the ball valve was $20. Originally I was going to go with the 10 gallon bayou stainless pot on amazon with the steamer pot for $107 but my buddy who I am splitting everything with figured we probably shouldn't drill it and possibly throw that much money away. I've been looking at pots for a while and this was the best deal I found.
