Hi-

I recently got a Camp Chef SH140L burner with 24 inch legs. It is one of the better investments into my home brewery in a long time! No more waiting over a hour to get to a boil and it keeps me away from making a mess out of the kitchen...

Anyways, I need to raise the burner up to allow for a stronger gravity feed. I am thinking of placing it on top of a portable wood or plastic table. Conventional wisdom would lead me to believe that cooking on a portable wood table is a poor idea. However, with the 24 inch legs I actually think the table would not be exposed to excessive heat.

What do you think?

Thanks!

While wood would probably be fine (but may not be, its a large flame, and will be on for hours, its alot of heat), id also be concerned about stability. having like 70 lbs of boiling wort and pot teetering on top of a wood table. I really wouldnt. Maybe cinder blocks?

Thanks for the input. The weather was not too bad so I just brewed outside and used an appropriate step. Seems like it is time to buy a pump!
