Howdy folks. I've been lurking on the forum for a few months, reading and getting ideas and finally decided to join up. I just began home brewing about 6 months ago, did my 13th batch yesterday, which was also my first all grain. In my usual fashion I have jumped into it wholeheartedly and could see myself enjoying a career in brewing, but I'm not looking to take that leap until I have a lot more experience, supply lines, more market research, and a good business plan set up. Even then, why turn a fun hobby into a job?

I work in software and databases, compete in strongman (like you see on TV, yes I pull semi trucks and lift 300-400 pound stones) and am finishing a master's degree in computer science. I may as well list the beers I've made, since this is that sort of place. Some have names, others are still looking for a good one.
Bottled

Welcome to HBT. Just out of curiosity, are you using brewing software, or your own spreadsheet, or some other method of doing the calcs and keeping records? I wonder about this since you're a computer science guy.

Thanks! Right now I'm using brewer's friend at the suggestion of a seasoned home brewer buddy of mine. I'm working on an application to do some more specific things for me though, if I actually get it up and running, I'll be sure to share it with anyone who wants to give it a run!

Welcome to the hobby, and the group, from CO :mug:

Thanks!
