Wow, I didn't think of that, I will make sure of it, Thanks a ton for the information!!!!! :mug:

I just read through this build thread and now need to change my pants.

S,
I had problems with my pick-up tube at first. You just want it about a 1/4 from the bottom. The main thing is that from your coupler to the 90 degree bend down must be a little down hill. If the 90 degree bend is sorta above the coupler it will get an air bubble in it and cause siphon problems, real PITA.

+1 to that!

I had the exact same problem, except much worse. I had such a slow drain, didn't notice at first, and burned the wort!

I ended up dumping 10gallons of wheat beer because it burned!!!! I think with the 1/2" dip, keeping the dip tube an inch or so off the bottom, and paying attention to the angle of the dip tube I will finely have it dialed in. I have more grain on the way :ban: we will see. Thanks :mug:

Shawn and Earthbound,

Once the strike water is up to temp with the big flame on your burner, go to the ball valve connected to the gas valve and adjust it to lower the flame to about 1/2 inch high. You don't need a huge flame for the mash. I have been doing this and it makes for a smooth easily controlled temp infusion. No wild over temps when the burner kicks on and off.

Cool thank you. I hardly even need to fire on my mash but when I do I will give that a shot. It just took so much time to get it out of the pot that it cooled off. I hope I have that fixed!!! We will see soon!!!

This is my my logo and labels so far. What do you think?????:drunk:

No cutting them out, the background is clear and they are printed on a clear label stock

Shawn,
Funny similarities: I'm building my single tier to model yours (which I just found out), I've stuck one of my kids in keggle for a picture, we're using the same welder and I also have a Weimaraner. Maybe we're long lost brothers.

The burners from AGRI supplly BG 14 high pressure, do they come with the orifice or do you have to buy them, what fittings does it take to hook them to propane line at the shutter , do you need to buy these parts http://www.agrisupply.com/brass-fitting-spring-shutter-f-/p/54837/cn/5400000/
I'm looking at burners for my stand and I'm trying to figure out the gas lines to the burner setup
I was going to run 3 of these,

already have one, but if I can get more BTU's for less then the cost of these, need to buy 2 burners, my stand is single tier 3 burner setup similar to yours and have the exact 16.5 x 16.5 opening to bolt these right in but would not mind modifying to get the BTU's up
