Okay, so I've been itching to get started with this new hobby....did a bunch of research.....then decided that this is something I may want to stick with for a good long time, So I bought a 9 gallon Bayou Classic SS kettle with welded spigot. When I got it home and took it out of its already open box (it was out in the store so people could see it) I found a sticky crude all inside the spigot. I assume this might be flux from the soldering or .....heck I really have no idea what it is...has anyone else had this happen, should I just wash it out really well and not worry about it?
