New Belgium is great. People talk a lot of smack about it because Fat Tire is so mainstream, yet average.

NB came to OK too.

Fat Tire is boring in comparison to most but, it is a great "cheap" beer available at most any corner store. Haven't seen anything else from NB yet.

I love Citradelic and the Voodoo Ranger series. I'm also a big fan of Wizzbang!

I haven't really had anything from them I did not like - except their Ben and Jerry's beers. I haven't found any of those ice cream beers to be very good.

Agreed on that, that Ben & Jerrys beer was a serious letdown. It was like a chocolate coconut stout or something, wasn't it?

you should probably sample your way through their entire "lips of faith" series. if you can still find all of them.

Had my first New Belgium Monday. Skipped over Fat Tire and dove right into Clutch (Lips of Faith). Sour stouts are rare in these parts. It was a fascinating experience.

Tried Fat Tire last year. No big thing but I really liked Ranger. Loved the hoppy taste and smell.

So the other day I saw Voodoo Ranger and said why not....Well not as good as straight Ranger IMHO. Stronger yes, hoppy yes, but I didn't get the Hop aroma this time.

Maine has towns named Denmark, Norway, Sweden, China, Mexico, Peru, Poland, and Lebanon.

We also have towns named Paris, Moscow, Stockholm, Calais, Vienna, Venice, Belfast, Belgrade, Rome, Athens, Naples, Madrid and Lisbon.

But no Belgium.

As far as I know, ranger and rampant are no longer being produced. At least they have disappeared here in TN. Replaced by voodoo ranger and voodoo imperial, which are now everywhere.

Apparently this is the first week that New Belgium has had distribution in Maine. I've never actually had it. What should I try?
