Hey guys,
My names Sky from Memphis TN, 26 YO. I have been reading a lot on this forum lately, as I have recently purchased a 1978 wood grain bm23 with my girlfriend off of CL. It was a project to say the least. The guy said it would get cold though, so we took a chance. So after some research, I went to work. First off being a novice I didn't know how cold the bm23 was supposed to be but it wasn't cold at all.It was covered in rust, even some of the base had been eaten out. It was originally about 45-50F, on what I thought was teh coldest setting 7 on the dial. But after some rust removal with CLR and some clear coat to keep the rust down and some work to close all seals, my refrigerator thermometer is reading down in the low 20s and high teens. I'm almost worried it's way to cold. so if anyone has any input on that it, id take some advice. I am glad I found a kegerator that old that will keep the temp that low though. This is also with a towel being my current door seal till my new seal comes in. once i get the new seal in I think my GF and I are going to pick up an Abita Keg from the brewery in Louisiana. Thanks for reading, Glad to be part of the forum!
