Hi all I have never made my own beer before but always wanted to as long as I could do this at home. I bought a home wine making kit for my wife and i was wondering what i needed to make beer in it as well. Also what kind of bottles do you recommend buying ( plastic or glass).

Get as many free brown non-twist off american bottles as possible (50+) or 22 oz bombers. Enlist yourself and your buddies. You have about 3 weeks from flame out to bottling to drink 'em all. Get started now, it's Friday.

Yeah don't buy the bottles you are going to use for home brewing ask your friends to save some for you or if you must buy the bottles check out buy/sell papers or even garage sales.

The plastic green bottles are no good to use. I have a line on about 30, 1 litre bottles for free but don't want them if there not good to use
