I was having connectivity problems with all 3 cables in system due to bad corrosion in the XLR's. You can see the green verdigris inside the contacts. They were new summer of 2019. I do store them in an outdoor cabinet on my covered patio (not where they would get wet).
I just replaced them with some models with gold-plated contacts. We'll see how they fare. Here's the ones I used: https://www.digikey.com/short/tt2c28d9.
