Hey I'm looking for a good IPA recipe. I've been playing around with different recipes but still have not found what I'm looking for yet.

I need a partial mash 23L Imperial IPA or American IPA. (Similar to Propeller Double IPA, Boxing Rock Vicars Cross, Richards Red IPA, etc). It doesn't have to be a Double IPA but those are the flavour examples I'm looking at achieving. Something with the bitterness of Vicars cross but the citrus flavouring of Propeller.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be awesome.

Thanks!

Try my Descending Arc IPA. It's very tasty, I promise. Clean bittering with lots of citrus.

Edit: It can be found in the recipe database.

Seems great, but not a partial mash, I don't make all grain recipes unfortunately, don't have that equipment yet.

You could replace some of the Pale Malt with Extra Light DME to make it a PM. That's typically what I do. I keep it lazy too since most if not all places sell DME in 3lb bags, I typically will convert or build a recipe around the 3 pound bag.

Plug it into a calculator and and adjust Extract and Pale Malt amounts until your back at the targeted OG. Can't go wrong really. Just stick to the Extra Light/Golden Light extracts.
