I am getting married in about three months and the fiance wants 1L mugs as center pieces for the wedding tables. We will need 22 of them for the tables. She tells me her father says "Price doesn't matter this needs to happen". (I know I am marrying the right family right?! haha). Anyways, does anyone know a good website they have positively dealt with for bulk orders?

Any suggestions would be awesome...if not drink with me during these tough times as the wedding comes up haha.

I tried to talk the fiance into the "yeast had sex in your beer" mug but it was a no go... Thanks for the site chief will forward it to her.

Cheers

If you have a Dollar Tree store near you go there. I bought a half dozen German 24 oz beer mugs for a Buck a piece. Roughly 8 inches tall and 4 inch diameter with large handle. These suckers weigh a couple pounds each but are good solid glass.

Was thinking about using these as possibly engraved wedding gifts. I might even try using an engraver myself since they are so cheap. As for the center pieces the fiance wanted them to be atleast 1 liter... they are going to hold flower arrangements with possible floating of leaf hops in them. Can you catch a theme...haha

i got a MaB (can you get an esset in forums?) as a wedding gift.

be forewarned, they're heavy. after drinking all night with one of these things, you feel like you're arm's gonna fall off.

Do you have a picture of a MaB? I don't I know what one is, google wasn't helping much.

They're actually called a "krugmaß".

Here you go:

Congrats on the wedding, but the Oktoberfest is held in September (ends the first weekend in Oktober).

I have 1 from each of the 6 breweries in Munich...:mug:...

I used to live about 40 miiles from Munich. I've been to the O'fest at least a dozen times...my first one was in 1975 my last one was 2003. :D

Well, thats 2 votes for beerfestboots.com...

I think you should get a couple extra krugmaß and do some kind of HBT wedding swag givaway, maybe for the best suggestions for rules you can impose regarding the damn glass clinking bit, I dunno.

Here is one photo I found on Google.

I got a LARGE glass mug from my friend's wedding. Other than meeting the cute sister of a friend from school, and she remembering me, that was one of the only good memories of that day...

I had 1.5 of those things of beer, then "several" shots of SoCo and Apple Pucker each.

I have fond memories of finding someone's lost cufflink in the parking lot where I was throwing up and trying like hell to not move at all. And of the long ride home with a plastic cup in my lap trying to throw up some more. And then of leaning over the bathroom sink trying to throw up some more, and waiting for the house to go dark and quiet so I could make it to the bedroom without dying or throwing up.

Ah, good times.

Don't make me rethink this!!! HAHA.

Our wedding "glass clinking" replacement was going to be each table gets a boot and when they finish we'll kiss. Throught that would encourage too much drinking so we scrapped it. I think what we are going to do is use 1L the glass mugs listed above and develope our home brewery name and logo to put on it. Thanks for all of your input!
