I've been doing no-boil pre-hopped malt extract brews for a while now and I want to move away from those so I need to buy a gas burner and a brew pot. I will be doing 23L (6 gallon) batches.

I will be using 9KG LPG bottles as as that's the cheapest/most readily available gas since we don't have piped gas here.

There's this 3 ring burner here I'm considering https://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/campmaster-triple-ring-burner-3-burner/p/341500

And this here is the biggest burner I can find in the country https://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/campmaster-burner-4-ring/p/341501

Would the 3 ring burner be OK? Or do I really need the 4 ring if I don't want to wait ages?

I also need to choose a brew pot. Will this one be OK? https://www.trademe.co.nz/home-livi...tm?rsqid=252448910c184cf98d5e9a9513419ec1-005

eBay for burner, preferably with adjustable regulator. I started with an 8 gallon Amcyl pot(still use it after 10 years), HIGHLY recommend that pot.

I'm probably going to have to skip eBay for this as shipping to NZ is going to cost far more than the burner itself. That's part of the problem living inside an isolated country at the bottom of the world.

I live in NZ as well and had one of these in my previous setup. You should be able to get a 4 ring burner off trade me for about $200 shipped. 3 rings should be about $120 and you can get stock pots from there too. Recommend 40L pot for 23L batch. Lots of headspace helps prevent boilovers.
If you can afford the 4 ring, get that. You will spend way less time bringing the pot to the boil and you can brew 40L double batches if you want (need a 55L pot).
Also have a look at electric options like robobrew. After using electric for a while now I would never go back to gas again. The difference is with gas you are standing there with a thermometer constantly checking temperatures and stirring. With electric you set the temperature you want and go do something else.

Oh also, expect to spend $5-10 per brew on LPG depending on how long you boil and whether you heat some of the water inside on the stove as I did. Electric has much lower running costs.

fwiw, the 3 ring burner is only rated at 25K BTU. That might be a long day brewing 6 gallon batches.
As painful as the 4 ring burner price is it might well be worth it wrt time.

And flyfishing in NZ is on my bucket list...

Cheers!

Personally, I'd look to get a bigger pot. You'll need to boil at least 7 - 7.5 gallons of wort to have 6 gallons in the end and the pot you want is 9 gallons. As someone that has brewed 5 gallon batches in a 9 gallon pot for years, there is a lot of babying the initial boil. You have to take the pot on and off the burner to make sure it doesn't boil over. And handling 7 gallons of boiling liquid over a hot flame isn't always fun. Now having a 15 gallon pot makes me wonder why I didn't just save up and buy that in the first place.
