I have two beer steins that seem to be a pair, one of them I was able to translate using an online translator. The other one however is only coming up with half the words, I could be misreading them. Here is what I got

Sind dirtrocken Kals und Bung
Kehr hier zu kiihlein Drunk

Which came out translating to

Are dirtrocken Kals and Bung
Return here to kiihlein Drunk

I don't know any german, but it looks like you've misread a few words. I see:

Sind dir trocken hals und Bung
Kehr hier zu kühlem trunk

which google translates to:

Are you dry neck and environment
Return here to cool drink

I'm sure there's a bit lost in google translation there, but that sounds closer to me...

Sind dir trocken hals und Bung
Kehr hier zu kühlem trunk

which google translates to:

Are you dry neck and environment
Return here to cool drink

That makes a lot more sense, thank you
Still not sure what Bung is, can not seem to find it anywhere it can be translated.

I only studied German two years but I see a couple things--apostrophes which could mean they left off letters, and the B in Bung could be an "ess-tsett" or double S.

SWMBO is German and say it reads thusly:

Kehr' hier ein zu kühlem Trunk
Sind dir trocken Hals und Zung'

Which translates to:

Come in here for a cool drink
If your throat and tongue are dry.

Kehr' hier ein zu kühlem Trunk
Sind dir trocken Hals und Zung'

Which translates to:

Come in here for a cool drink
If your throat and tongue are dry.

Thanks everybody for helping me with this. You are a wonderful group of people.
