I have an IPA that I am going to dry hop. All hops are pellets. Here is my list of ingredients:

5 gallon batch
6lbs LME
2lbs DME

1oz cascade (60 min)
.5oz cascade/galaxy/citra (15 min)
.5oz cascade/galaxy/citra (5 min)

I have 3oz of hops to use to dry hop. 1oz cascade, 1oz citra and 1oz galaxy. I would like to dry hop with all 3oz's and just add them to primary. My question is would 3oz of dry hops take away/absorb a lot of the beer?

I dry hopped a SMaSH with 1oz hops and it didn't seem to take away/absorb a lot.

Thanks in advance!

My experience (which consists of weighing one batch I bagged and squeezed the crap out of) is that it's about 6:1::beer:hops. When you use a pound of hops, you lose a lot of beer, but what you get is usually worth it.
