I googled norther rockies galcial valley and this was on the first page. Glacier National Park looks kinda similar. LOL

I know there is a tunnel a little further up the road as I saw another pic with the tunnel showing.

Yup! I took that pic in '17, not too long after moving back to MT. It was my wife's first national park, and wound up being like a religious experience for her since she had never seen anything like it before.

Travel distance since Darwin has to rendezvous with the southern railway line before turning towards Western Austrailia, maybe. But crow-flies, 1700 miles to Darwin and 2250 miles to Brisbane according to Google Earth's ruler. My pic to follow shortly.
