I'm not super familiar w/ the city but have been there a few times and up that particular hill :)

Not sure I've posted a picture here before, I think this'll work. It's a picture I took myself about 5 years ago. Hopefully it's not too obvious or easy.

I got a feeling this was Alaska, so I googled "Alaska volcano bridge." It worked.
That's the O'Connel Bridge over the Stika Channel in Stika, Alaska. A good view of Mount Edgecumbe from there. Apparently it's famous for an April Fool's Day joke in 1974 when some burning tires in the cone made the volcano look active. The guy who did it had to wait three years for a clear April 1st morning.

Here's another volcano, though I'm not sure most people think of it that way. This is from 2010:

The first picture is really about the flowers; this slightly different angle may show it better:

Mt. Rainier it is. We spent a couple of nights in August in Paradise in Mount Rainier National Park with sunshine and the wildflowers if full broom.

The Paradise Inn was above the clouds in the valleys in the mornings. It''s only open mid-May through September because the snow gets too deep up there.

You're up @cmac62.,
