Mypin t series pid controller power issue

Just bought a mypin pid controller all I want to do is test it out and make sure it turns on before I start connecting ssr and temp probe and installing it in my control panel.I connected the pid to a12-Volt DC Plug-in Power Adapter and plugged in the wall to see if it turns on but I got nothing. I've gone over instruction 100 times. I'm unsure if it works. Am I doing something wrong ?does it need a high voltage or a relay. Sorry for the noob question. Very new to this . can some one help?

It's 110v. (Actually 90v-260v AC/DC according to the wiring diagram.) You're not giving it enough juice!
