its not fancy, but it's very low profile and much better coverage than just a 'flap' of matal overhanging the pump

I did,
You can contact Allen Gu (yuling rep I dealt with and a few others here have ordered from) [email protected] you can tell him you got his contact info from fathergratwick (dont ask).

I just ordered an element from him. They come with locking cord now. They are 25ea+20 shipping. If you order two they are 25ea + 34 shipping . He was quick in responding (then I paid and have not heard back, lol- I'm sure all is good). I just paid him via paypal without having to register anywhere. Thanks for the heads up augie!

Got a better deal than me. I went through Alibaba instead of directly through email. Ended up paying $64 for element, locking cable, and TC clamp. $36 for all parts $28 shipping and received in less than 2 weeks from placing order.

Fwiw, i did not specify the cable gauge and they sent SOOW 12AWG. This is good to 25A, but will require a double pole breaker to protect.

Yeah I felt weird when I just ordered 10 of them for a 3 bbl brewery and did not recieve any shipping notice but I got them in like 4 days.

Hi, What are you using for your kettle to sit on? looks like some type of black pad. I'm looking for options for my setup.

You might be right. But, I mounted my March 809 inside a small plastic toolbox. There are some vent holes on the side. It's been spinning trouble-free for 9 years.
I'm giving you the manufacturer's word on it. You can run it in any number of unrecommended ways and still be OK. Having sold over 1000 chugger pumps, I can tell you that overheating has happened in less shrouded setups.

Yea I'm a rebel, like to live on the edge ;)

I have a chugger that's never been fired up. My intention was to toolbox it, same as the march. I'll get my chance to test that one too one day.

Soo... what happens when they overheat? Windings melt down? Thermal fuse?

Good though on the overheating. I can add a 12cm computer box fan I have laying around to vent it more aggressively
