Soo... what happens when they overheat? Windings melt down? Thermal fuse?

My guess is many times people try to get Bobby to replace them..

Hi, What are you using for your kettle to sit on? looks like some type of black pad. I'm looking for options for my setup.

It's a serving tray from a restaurant, catches the drips nicely. You can get them on Amazon for cheap

Good though on the overheating. I can add a 12cm computer box fan I have laying around to vent it more aggressively
