Just completed the first brew using my new ebiab system. I based it on mrBippers http://www.instructables.com/id/Electric-brewing-system/ and of course http://www.theelectricbrewery.com/.

I couldn't have gotten this far without all the great info on this forum. Anytime I got stuck or needed some reassurance I just searched here and found the answer. Thanks to everyone.

The controller uses a Mypin td4 PID and a Liquid Tight RTD Sensor, 2” Probe, Weldless Fitting from Auberins.

My brewpot is a Concord 60 qt stainless with one 5500 watt ULWD element.

Nice cream ale mashing in.

Mash held right at 149.

Came up to a good boil with no problem.

Being my first brew with the new system it needs a little dialing in but all in all I was very pleased with the performance.

BTW.. The dog's not dead... Just not that impressed.

Glad this is working for you. Does your control box have an ON/OFF switch? or a switch for the element? Or do you not plug it in until you're ready to heat and rely on the PID buttons for controlling the temp and/or the power to the element? I looked at the "Instructables" site. The hand-drawn schematic on that site appeared to show an element switch, but I could not see it on the photos of the controller box. Thanks.
