Damn, nice work! Love the stonework, and the light color of the wood. You better put something on your deck though...you don't want to expose it to pests, it will get all soft!

Electric is wired, plumbing is done, the hot tub area has deck boards on it, all the balusters are on and with the exception of mudding and grouting the pier caps when they come in tomorrow all I have left are the stair rails, installing the lights, and the skirting.

Brewgirl #4 just got home from Gymnastics when I sat down with a Weizenbock to relax.

SWMBO did a great job selecting the furniture (she's in charge of making sure that the cushions don't get left out in the weather):

Almost done! One more set of stair rails to do tomorrow, I need to grout in the pier caps, and finish the skirting. There are some spots on the inside of the railing that I'm going to sand to get some spots and factory print off, but I should wrap this sucker up next weekend. Pier caps arrived and are in, one set of stair rails are done, and the lights are installed and working.

Brewgirls #'s 2 and 4 (yes, they both actually suck their thumbs, they're not posing - yes, I know she's too big to be doing that. She's 6... and we're on her about it all the time):

Nighttime shot from the corner of the lot with the lights on (just finished the lights tonight, so I had to get a pic of them... sorry about the poor quality):

Nighttime pic #2. I've tried taking pics when it's almost dark out and they turnn out like crap. This pic is pretty clear, so that gives you an idea of how much the lighting brightens up the space.

I told BrianP in chat one night that I'd post pics of the playset that I built last year. The area on the 'ground floor' is 5'6" high. My wife and kids can all stand under it, although my oldest might not be able to stand without crouching for much longer. The 'top floor' room is 8'x8' with a 4'x8' balcony.

Tha sandbox (which is usually frequented by more a few neighbor kids) and the monkey bars have both been a huge hit. We all spent the night out in the 'top floor' foor a couple months ago. We took the laptop out and watched on the the kids' dvd's, had popcorn and strung some lights on the inside of the room so the 4 year old wouldn't get scared. Overall, this playset has been well worth the time and moneyy that we put in it. The kids use it all the time, and the neighbor kids some over to play on it quite a bit.

the 'lower level' room, where the kids frequently make mud pies with sand from the nearby sandbox:

Inside of the room on the 'top floor' I'm 6'6"-ish and I can stand up in most of this room.

Damn dude. Good work. I said earlier I should never show SWMBO this thread. I just did. Oops.

Guess I get to learn a few new skills. ;)

Wow! This turned out really awesome! I would plant some trees and stuff for some more privacy tho :)

Wow- that looks so great! Your family is going to get many hours of enjoyment out of that deck and yard. I'm impressed (and jealous!). And, tell SWMBO I said hi, please!

Will do, Yoop. Next time you get to Ohio to visit family you have an open invitation to drink a few with us out on the deck.

The finishing touches have been added and this bad boy is finally where I can call it 'done':

Yup, it's PT from Home Depot - no arsenic. It threw me for a loop at first too, after years of years of working with PT I had to ask like 4 different people to make sure, because to me, PT = green.
