I know someone who is considering giving me a keg or two. From what I heard, some people use kegs as modified kettles. I looked in the DIY section (maybe not hard enough) and couldn't find something directly about making a keggle out of a keg. Despite their size, is it possible to use them for just a 10 gallon batch? I used my old 6 gallon standard kettle for a 5.5 gal. batch and it didn't help my efficiency too much.
Second, is it possible to convert a keg into a sort of decent fermentation carboy? If anyone has any links or pictures, etc. on how to do this, I'd be really grateful. Thanks!
